Need double-sided visibility without the ghosting, bleed-through, or washed-out reverse image you get with standard vinyl? Blockout banner is the only material in our lineup engineered for true double-sided printing — and the reason is its construction.
This is a 22 oz material built from three bonded layers: a full-color print face, a light-stop opaque core, and a second full-color print back. The core layer blocks 100% of light transmission between the two printed surfaces, so each side reads as its own crisp, independent graphic. No shadowing. No reverse show-through.
UV-cured inks on both sides. Full-color, fully independent artwork front and back — submit two different files or mirror the same design. Heat-welded hems and heavy-duty brass grommets standard. Available in any custom size up to 10 ft tall. NFPA 701 fire-rated.

Frequently Asked Questions
Standard vinyl is a single layer — printing on both sides results in visible bleed-through from one side to the other, especially when backlit. Blockout vinyl has a three-layer construction: print face, opaque light-stop core, and print back. The core completely blocks light transmission between the two surfaces, so each side is a clean, independent graphic.
Yes. You supply two separate print-ready files (or describe both designs to our creative team). Each side is printed independently. There is no requirement to mirror or relate the two sides — a retail banner might show a sale promotion on one face and brand imagery on the reverse, for example.
The listed price is per sq ft of banner area (not per printed side). Pricing reflects the total cost of the double-sided finished banner — no extra charge for printing both sides vs. single-sided.
Pole pockets top and bottom are the standard for street pole banners — they slide directly onto the pole bracket arms. We offer 2" and 4" pole pocket widths. If you have a specific pole bracket specification, send us the dimensions and we'll match them exactly.
We produce single-piece blockout banners up to 120 inches (10 ft) wide and up to 50 ft long before seaming is required. Larger installations use heat-welded seam joins — specify your installation requirements at order time.
