The Challenge
The brand, a mid-size producer of organic trail mixes and dried fruit blends, was expanding from regional distribution into a national grocery chain. They needed packaging for 8 SKUs that met FDA 21 CFR food-contact requirements, along with 450 end-cap displays engineered to the chain's specific gondola width and height restrictions. The previous packaging supplier couldn't produce FDA-compliant stand-up pouches and corrugated displays under one roof, which meant coordinating two vendors on a tight six-week deadline.
The Solution
Anybigworks consolidated the entire project into a single production timeline. For the packaging, we produced resealable stand-up pouches on PET/PE barrier film with 8-color rotogravure printing — each SKU with distinct color coding while maintaining brand consistency. All materials were FDA 21 CFR compliant and verified through ISO 17025 accredited lab testing. For the retail displays, we built double-wall BC-flute end-cap units at 34.5" wide to fit standard gondola specs, with full-color litho-laminate wraps and branded header cards. Each display was static load-tested at 1.5x rated capacity. We shipped all 450 displays flat alongside the packaged product directly to the retailer's distribution centers, palletized and labeled per their OTIF requirements.
